Foursquare has been updated to a new version. They need to think on new ways to improve and make the service more useful. The entrance of the king of social networks on that business could send them to the oblivion.
They have split up Tips and To-Dos on separate lists, converting the last one on the place to save all your favorite places to visit. These places will be conveniently highlighted when you’re using the app and you’re on the neighborhoods.
The second update comes from a new Foursquare button. Although mobile is increasingly important, people mainly surf and look for things “To-Do” from the desktop. This could be the reason to create a button that helps you add real world places to visit when you’re outside.
Soon we will see another social button added to the list of social services around the web.
